  • chevron_right6. Who provides the information on the website?
Information presented on our website comes from a variety of sources, and is usually received by the document librarian and/or website administrators in the form of emails, or email attachments. The most frequently received information comes from the Community Manager or Lifestyle Director, and can be viewed in both Documents & Forms, and the Community News & Notices or Upcoming Events displays on the Home Page. Additionally, The MEB and/or committees may provide agendas/minutes as appropriate. Flyers for events are received and posted, as are any formal documents from whatever source.
  • chevron_right7. How often is the website updated?
The website administrators and document librarians monitor emails and other forms of communication daily to see what needs to be added to the website. Information received is usually uploaded to the website the same day.
  • chevron_right8. How can residents get information or help through the website?
    • The Contacts menu selection has four submenu choices that together provide the capability for any user to directly contact key people to request information and/or support.

After submission, Help Desk Tickets may be tracked here along with any communications and status until the ticket is resolved. • Contact Us submenu provides users the capability to submit emails (with attachments) directly to the Lifestyle Director, the Master Executive Board (MEB), and specific Committees (e.g., Communications, Structures & Grounds, etc.) for information and/or appropriate action as needed.
  • chevron_right9. How can information and materials (meeting agendas/minutes, event photos, announcements, etc.) be submitted for inclusion on the website?
Committees and Residents can submit any materials (including documents) for inclusion on the website by emailing the website administrator team at silverspringwebsite@gmail.com.

In accordance with the Master Executive Board (MEB) policy for submission of information/materials for website posting, this request will require MEB liaison approval for any materials not coming from the Community Manager or Lifestyle Director. Committees should get approval from their own MEB liaison, and Residents can direct their submitted materials to the website administratorsfor approval by the Communications Committee's MEB liaison.

Event submissions can also be provided by providing the information to the appropriate MEB liaison (for Committees), and Residents can direct their submitted materials to the silverspringwebsite@gmail.com email address for approval by the Communications Committee's MEB liaison.

  • chevron_right10. Can Forms (e.g., Variance Requests) be completed and submitted via the website?
No. Currently, we do not have the capability to complete and submit forms online via our website. All forms on the website must be downloaded and filled out by the user. The user will then have to complete the hard copy form and send it to the intended recipient. In some cases, depending on the user's software, they may be able to scan or complete the form on their computer and and email it as an attachment to the intended recipient.
  • chevron_right11. Why does the website look and operate differently on different devices?
The website is designed to be compatible with PCs, MACs and mobile devices like cell phones and tablets. Because the screen area differs on these devices, some navigation and content features need to be displayed differently so that they can still be accessed and viewed by the user. For example, the horizontal menu bar shown on a PC is replaced by a Menu icon that lists the same choices on a cell phone. Similarly, the multi-column horizontal display of Home Page Window Boxes on a PC is displayed as a single series of consecutive window boxes (on a cell phone in portrait orientation) or two-column display of consecutive window boxes (on a cell phone in landscape orientation). Other devices may display the website contents differently.
